Shakur's Wish to ride in a Lamborghini

Southern Stars Charitable Trust has initiated an appeal for the New Zealand Down Syndrome Association Inc.

The Trust will be working throughout September with the New Zealand Down Syndrome Association to raise awareness and much needed funding to help children and their families who live with this condition.

The NZ Down Syndrome Association provides support and information to families who have a child with Down syndrome child; one of the aims of the appeal is to raise funding to allow the NZDSA to produce and distribute its education resource. This will contain a video and supportive information to create awareness of the condition and to foster understanding of the child with Down Syndrome among his peers at school. Funding is also needed for a family camp for children and their families.

Southern Stars Charitable Trust has launched its appeal in conjunction with “Southern Stars Grant-A-Wish”; The CEO of the Trust stated that this will give children and young people who need assistance to improve their quality of life the chance to have a wish granted.

Shakur with the Lamborghini

Independent Prestige kindly stepped up with a Lamborghini to fulfil Shakur’s wish, Shakur a 6 year old boy with Down syndrome looked so happy as he walked into the showroom, and was even asked which car he wanted to go for a ride in; at one point indicating he would like to go for a ride in a Bentley, which didn’t faze the management at all. However, he soon settled into the passenger seat of a glistening black Lamborghini and was whisked away for a ride of lifetime.
