Southern Stars is a Charitable Trust dedicated to providing a better life for special needs and less fortunate children in New Zealand.
"Helping Kids to be Kids" is achieved by providing fundraising resources for a host of children’s charities and by creating entertaining events for special needs and disadvantaged children; in particular K.I.S.S (Kids in Show Seats) pantomimes held at the Logan Campbell Theatre, ASB Showgrounds in Auckland.
Pantomimes and Events
Four times a year, Southern Stars Charitable Trust organises professionally run pantomimes as well as a number of other events to give special needs and disadvantaged children an opportunity to be kids. For each pantomime, 9,000 tickets are sent out to local charities and schools. Annually, over 36,000 tickets were distributed.
In addition to sponsoring special-needs and disadvantaged children to our shows, each pantomime campaign raises awareness and funds for our charity partners. Some of the charities that have partnered with our pantomimes have included: Autism New Zealand, Radio Lollipop, Koru Care NZ, Burn Support Group Trust, Downtown Rotary, and Kidney Kids.
